National Lighthouse Recovery Association is a group located in Boulder, Colorado dedicated to providing recovery resources for those who are suffering from alcoholism. At our office, we offer resources for alcoholics and their loved ones, AA and Al-Anon meetings every day, counseling sessions, and a monthly recovery book club discussion group.
There are a lot of negative beliefs about alcoholism in this country. Unfortunately, people believe that alcoholics are just choosing to drink too much, in spite of the damage that it causes on their own lives, the lives of their families, and the lives of their loved ones.
We know that alcoholism is a disease akin to any other chronic illness, and we know that people who are suffering from this disease are suffering because they are in need of treatment. Our mission is to help people pursue the treatment that will work for them and to connect them with the resources that will assist them on their path to recovery.
